The shed is coming .. Happy fall equinox to everyone and with fall comes the seasonal lash shed, and I'm here to shed a little light on what all that means... This can be a worrying time for techs and clients as we start to deal with poor retention. Think about when you wash your hair at this time of the year, you find your hair comes out more and this is why, we are animals too. Hair protects us from the sun, so hair grows more in summer. In the autumn the sun is not out so much so we do not need the hair so much. Hair also takes a lot of blood and energy to grow. So in the colder months our bodies are incredibly clever and it stops sending the blood and energy to produce new hair and sends it to your vital organs instead. This is mother nature at her best. The good news is that this only lasts about 4-8 weeks give or take.
