Happy New Year WCC Curlers!

Following the announcement yesterday our Board of Directors met this morning to determine our next steps regarding our return to play.

Based on the current environment we felt it prudent to remain closed next week with a return to play date pending for January 10^th.  Again, knowing the fluidity of our situation, your Board of Directors will continue to monitor and manage accordingly.

As more details become available we will look to share with you what we can to ensure you remain informed and up to date.  Your safety is top of mind as we enter into the second half of our season.

Again we remind everyone to monitor your symptoms closely and follow all necessary guidelines and requirements as outlined by your respective Health Units.

Please remember that the Vaccine Passport requirements have changed.  This means we will be rechecking your vaccination status using the mandatory QR code upon reopening starting January 10^th.  If you haven’t already, please download your Vaccine Passport (QR code) and have it ready to be scanned upon returning to the Centre.  This is separate from your CurlOn QR code, which is still required to enter the Centre upon each visit.

The following link will guide you to the Vaccine Passport https://covid-19.ontario.ca/proof-covid-19-vaccination.  Once here, click “download your vaccine certificate” and then fill out the survey before clicking continue. You will need your health card details in order to proceed with this process.  NOTE, IF YOU HAVE HAD YOUR BOOSTER SHOT IN THE INTERIM THEN YOU WILL NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE CERTIFICATE AGAIN IN ORDER FOR YOUR QR CODE TO REMAIN MOST UP TO DATE.
