Our Food Drive for Operation Sharing is underway at the Centre. Next time you come out to curl, bring along some non-perishable food items and drop them in our collection bin located in the main lounge (pictured below). We will be transporting food donations after December 17. Not able to get to the grocery store? Make an online monetary donation today by visiting the Operation Sharing website.
Reminder that the Save the Tax Deal is still on at the Proshop. Contact Keith Eppenberger today to set up your own personal shopping time :)
The sign up for our annual Chuck Phelps Memorial Bonspiel will be posted today (Monday, December 6) at the Centre. The first 16 teams to sign up will get a spot. This will be our first Bonspiel in over 2 years so don’t dilly dally on getting signed up because team spots will go quick. The Chuck Phelps is one of our favourite traditions at the Centre, and is an event that truly embodies the community that Chuck, a beloved curler that left us too early, helped build at the Centre.
As the holidays get closer and closer, we want to thank everyone for the dedication to making sure our curling centre remains a safe place to be. We thank everyone for following safety protocols. As cold and flu season unfolds, we want to remind everyone to please stay home if you feel unwell.
And last but not least, welcome to our learn to curlers who have decided to join us for the remainder of the season. You might start seeing some new faces pop up in leagues, so let’s give them the WCC welcome we are all accustom to!
