DECEMBER DEAL, SPARING INFO, AND A MESSAGE FROM TIM, THE PRESIDENT
Good Sunday Evening Curlers,
This message comes to you in three parts:
1) December Deal at the Pro-Shop- Save the Tax!
Got a curler in the family? Or maybe you picked a curler for a Secret Santa? Or maybe you are making your Christmas list to give to that special someone? Or maybe you want to get yourself a holiday gift? We’ve got the deal for you! For the month of December you get to save the tax on any purchases made at the Pro Shop. Now is the perfect time to grab that new broom, or those new shoes! For questions about the pro-shop, contact pro-shop manager Keith Eppenberger.
2) Sparing Info
We’ve heard that finding spares is getting tricky as the holiday approaches. We are using our new system to manage our spares this year, which is a chance and different from the curler directory that we have had in previous years. You can let other curlers know that you want to spare by signing up through our registration system.
Step 1: Log in to the system (the one you use to see schedules and sign up for curling).
Step 2: Go to your Profile in the menu.
Step 3: Click on the “sparing” link on the right side of the screen.
Step 4: Select the leagues you would like to spare in.
Mission complete! You are now a spare and people in that league can see your contact info to get a hold of you to spare! If you have any questions about this process please email curl@woodstockcurling.com. Reminder that if you are a one league curler, you will need a spare package to spare in a different league. These can be purchased at the bar.
3) A Message from Tim, the Preseident
“Well we are already 42 days into our 2021 / 22 curling season and I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and vigilance. These are very different times we live in and we are so happy with how things have gone so far. I truly believe by staying the course and not letting our guard down we will definitely return to some sort of normalcy soon.
I would also like to mention if anyone would like to be part of our team , by either becoming a volunteer , a committee member or a Board member , please reach out to any of us . Many hands make light work as they say. Our door is always open.
