Hello Curlers, 

We are getting so close to the start of curling season. T-minus 16 days until we get back on the ice again! 

If you haven’t registered yet, head on over to woodstockcurling.com/RegisterNow today. Registration will be closing Thursday, September 30^th at 11:59 p.m. so get in before its too late! 

You all will be curious about vaccination certification. As you know, as a curling centre we fall under the new regulations for mandatory vaccination

This means that everyone entering the Centre must show their vaccine certificate (aka their proof of 2 doses) to us to enter the Centre. You may be wondering if you have to show us every time you come to curl. The short answer is no! As long as we have it on record that we’ve seen your proof of vaccination, you can come curl in your league. How do you get on record you ask?

We are hosting two “vaccination verification” nights on Thursday October, 7 and Friday October , 8 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring your vaccine certification down to the Centre, available for download here: Download your vaccination certificate.  Once we see it, we will mark it off in our records and you won’t be required to show it again. Please note that the Practice Nights originally scheduled for these two evenings have been cancelled. 

You may ask, can I just email you my receipt? The answer is a hard no unfortunately. We are not authorized to collect any medical documentation for our curlers and/or visitors. The vaccination certificate classifies as medical documentation, and as such we cannot collect it and store it for privacy reasons. (An email is considered storage in this case which is why you can’t just email it to us.)

And finally, last but not least, a HUGE thank-you to all that came out to the Sticks and Stones Golf Tournament at the Woodstock Meadows yesterday. This is a very important fundraiser for our Centre so we cannot thank you enough for your support. Additionally, we don’t have enough words to describe how grateful we are to the Vink family for hosting us at their golf course, and for all the time, energy, and enthusiasm they put into making it one of the best golf tournaments around!
