LET'S GET READY TO ROCK! - COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE, GOLF TOURNAMENT RAFFLE
Happy Long Weekend, Curlers!
We are getting close to two months away from the opening of our 2021-2022 curling season. We have a couple of key events that we are starting to get ready for and we need your help!
1) Donate a prizes for Sticks and Stones Golf Tournament Raffle
Planning for our annual golf tournament taking place on Saturday, September 25 is well under way. The planning committee is looking for prizes with a minimum value of $25 for the infamous raffle table. If you are able to contribute a raffle prize for the centre’s biggest fundraiser of the year, please contact Rachelle Strybosch at
rachellestrybosch@gmail.com.
2) Volunteer for Community Open House
We will be celebrating the return to curling with a community open house that will take place on Saturday, September 11
th from 11:30-2:00 in the curling centre parking lot. Todd’s Dogs will be on site and we will be offering a tour of all the updates that have been made to the centre. We want to make this an amazing event for the community and we need your help. We are looking for a small team to give tours of the centre and help organize some family fun activities. If you are able to contribute a couple of hours before the event, and/or volunteer the day-of to help welcome our community to the centre, please contact curl@woodstockcurling.com.
3) A Message from the President: Shadow a Board Member/Convenor
“Everyone has a strength and if you feel yours would add value to the Curling Centre in any shape or form feel free to contact myself or any other Board member to discuss. There is no commitment at all and you would only be shadowing someone who is currently in this role. If this turns out to be something that suits you and that you enjoy that is great and if not that is ok too. We just ask everyone to give it some thought and think about joining our Team. These are very exciting times for The Woodstock Curling Centre!” – Tim Favacho
Thanks Everyone,
Your WCC Board of Directors
