Dear Curlers ,
 
We hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy some championship over the last couple of weeks. 

Even though we have been closed since early last year we would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that we have been busy at the Centre fixing up, refreshing and bringing select areas of the Centre back to life. We thank all of our volunteers for following Covid protocol and adhering to all guidelines set out by our Public Board of Health and Government officials.
 
Here are just a few sneak peaks to get you excited: 
 

1. We have installed new flatscreens in the lounge area for optimal viewing of the curling happening out on the ice. The TVs will also be compatible with our cable package, so now we can watch championship curling from anywhere in the lounge! These new televisions and wall mounts were all generously donated by individuals within the Centre.
2. The west wall on the ice side has been scraped and cleaned up ready for a fresh coat of paint soon.
3.  We are bringing the upstairs lounge back to life and are in the midst of making this space functional for both our curlers as well as the Woodstock community and surrounding area for renting. The upstairs lounge is the best vantage point to watch the curling and we want to utilize this space to its fullest.

Meet the Teams- Facilities Team Rocks the House! 

Over the next few months, we will be featuring the teams of individuals that work hard to make sure we all have a place to curl and socialize in Woodstock. First up is our facilities team. This team has been hard at work this year, making many updates and continuing with the general maintenance that is required to keep our Centre safe and sustainable. We sincerely thank the following individuals for all their hard work, passion and commitment .

We are always looking for individuals to become an active board member or committee member and join our team. We have a great group and everything we do is for the betterment of our Centre and the game of curling. “ Many hands make light work”. 

Also, this Sunday, the big jackpot for Curl ON’s 50/50 will be drawn. We have already sold $2500 worth of tickets for the Woodstock Curling Centre. Approximately 40% of all sales sold under our Centre will come back to us, so thank you to those that have already purchased. Every little bit helps in these strange times!
