Good afternoon Curlers, 

Here we are midway through another week! Time sure does seem to be flying be which means we are inching ever closer to the start of another great curling season. Is it ever too early to think about such things? We have a few things to share about getting ready for next season. 

1) Spring Fling Elimination Draw

Before we had to shut down early for the season, Art Jones and Serena Roberts led the charge in selling numbers for our elimination draw. Well, Art, Tim, and Danielle drew the names in a virtual hangout so we now have the winners. Before we get to the winners, we would like to thank everyone for participating. We were able to raise over $2000 for the Centre which helped out a lot given the fact we had to close up shop early this year. Thank you all very much! 

Now, to the winners...... drumroll please...... the winner of the grand prize, an unlimited curling membership for the 2020-2021 season is.... Roger Blum! Congratulations!!!!!

We also have several winners of smaller prizes. Every 10^th person eliminated received a prize of either a new gripper or a gift card to a local restaurant. Prizes will be given out in the fall.

2) Installment Plan Available 

If the cards weren’t in your favour this year, and you didn’t win the free membership, there is still time to sign up for our installment plan for the 2020-2021 season. The installment plan allows you to pay for your 2020-2021 membership over 6 equal payments from May-October. We have a new, shiny registration system this year that will allow you to sign up.

Here are our instructions for using the new system:

Steps to sign up for the installment plan: 

1) Go to our website: woodstockcurling.com. 
2) Hit the registration button available on the home page (or go to Go Curling-Register Now)  
3) Sign up for an account (either with a Gmail, or request a sign-on link using your preferred e-mail) 
4) Once you are logged in to your account, create a profile under (Account-Profile). Please complete the contact information. All information collected here will be held in accordance to Curling Canada's privacy statement. If you have more than one curler in your household and you would like to use one account, you can add additional curlers under the profile section. 
5) Once you have a profile, select Products to register. Pick your registration of choice and add it to your cart. This will take you to your cart. 
6) Once in your cart, select Information required. Select your profile to register with. Review the contact information you entered and hit Save and Continue. 
7) From the dropdown menus- indicate how you would like to pay (E-transfer, Cash or Cheque). For the installment plan, select yes from the “Would you like to pay in 6 equal installments” drop down. 
8) If you would like to add a locker to your fee, check it off under Add-ons. 
9) Click save and continue. 
10) You will be sent an email for your records. Payments can be e-transferred to payments@woodstockcurling.com. Cheques are payable to Woodstock Curling Centre and can be dropped off at the centre. 

New Capital Fund 

You will notice that we have added a capital fund contribution to everyone's registration this year. The amount added for the capital fund represents the annual increase to fees that occur to cover the cost of inflation. In order to ensure we are able to maintain quality curling in Woodstock, we need to start preparing for ice plant and facility upgrades down the road.  We have added a 3% increase to our membership fees with that balance being directed to our capital fund to support future projects.

3) Locker Clean Out Update

Several of you have been asking about locker clean out. For the time being, we are asking you to hold off on coming to clean out your locker as we continue to practice physical distancing. We can assure you that your belongs are safe and that your locker will remain intact. Once things are getting back to normal, we will let you know when you can pick up your content. If you need to access anything in your locker, please get in touch with us at curl@woodstockcurling.com so we are aware that you are entering the building.
