GOOD NEWS FROM WCC: SURVEY, MS BONSPIEL UPDATE, ONLINE CURLING
Dear Curlers,
We are now into the second week of April which is hard to believe! We hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. We also want to extend our sincere thanks to members of our community who are essential workers! Thank you for all the support you are providing, whether it be in the health care sector, at the grocery store, or behind the scenes. We really appreciate all that everyone is doing, staying home, supporting our local businesses and community organizations, and staying connected to family and friends.
While we can’t be together out on the ice or on the golf green, we have a few things to share with you that might help pass the time:
1) Fill out our Curler Survey
Your input and feedback about the 2019-2020 season is very important to us. We use this information to plan for next year and to prioritize where we should focus our efforts as we strive to provide the best possible curling experience to the Woodstock community. 2) MS Bonspiel Update – Some Good News to Share!
From Bruce and Darlene Wood:
“Bruce and I wanted to reach out and let you know that we have a little good news to share regarding another success that you all contributed toward. We are proud to say that with the help of so many of you we have passed our 2020 MS Curl for a Cure Bonspiel goal of $ 7500. As always your generosity shone through and this year we are VERY happy to announce that our grand total is $8524.52!!!
We have 2 unclaimed raffle items - Ticket # 225681 (Jiffy Lube Oil Change) and Ticket # 239568 (The Golf School - golf lesson) If you still have your tickets tucked away in a safe place - please check your numbers and let me (Darlene) know if you are the lucky winner of either if these items.”
3) Online Curling
If you are like some people we know, you may be going through a curling and/or sports withdrawal. A couple of our curlers in the last couple of weeks have joined an online curling community. If you want to stay connected with the game we all love, we suggest checking out:
